Watch replenishment planning for retailers
A replenishment order answers a specific question: which references could run out before the next delivery? A catalogue helps identify models, but reorder quantities should start with your own sales and stock available for sale.
Build a reference-level stock list
For each watch, record the complete reference, saleable stock, reserved units, confirmed supplier orders and sales over a representative period. Separate unchecked returns and pieces that cannot be sold immediately. Check suffixes so that two different variants are not counted together.

Estimate stock cover using your own data
A starting indicator is saleable stock divided by average weekly sales. For example, 12 available watches and 3 weekly sales represent roughly 4 weeks of cover if the pace continues. This illustrative calculation does not predict demand: promotions, seasonality and earlier stockouts can distort the average.
Compare stock cover with the total confirmed lead time for your order, including preparation and delivery. Listed references are not reserved stock. Request availability and timing before setting a date for putting goods back on sale.
Separate replenishment from range testing
Divide your selection into established references with observed demand and new references you want to test. Prioritise documented requirements. A new Citizen or Versace reference should not automatically receive the same quantity as a model whose sales pattern you already know.
Define acceptable substitutions beforehand: exact reference only, a different colour subject to approval, or another model considered separately. This prevents a suggested replacement from being treated as an agreement.
Use quantity tiers without overordering
At PRIMEVO, watch quantities across brands combine to determine the basket tier. The thresholds are 10–49, 50–149, 150–299, 300–499 and 500+. The minimum is 10 watches in total, from one piece per reference, subject to availability.
Before adding pieces to reach a threshold, compare the discount with the cost of extra units and likely holding time. A lower unit price alone does not establish that a larger order is the better purchase.
Submit and check the reorder
